Hi! I'm Bianca Brandner.

I am a freelance designer based in Amsterdam who is passionate about aesthetics and problem-solving alike. These interests combined with my general curiosity and joy of experimenting drive me to continually move across the fields of graphic design, UX and visual design. For my clients, I design intuitive user interfaces, unique brand identities and visual assets such as illustrations or animations.

Initially starting out as a graphic designer, I developed an understanding of composition, typography and colour theory and learned to apply these subjects to create consistent and appealing brand images. Over the years, I’ve been shifting towards digital product design to keep evolving and expand my skillset. With this move from the physical to the virtual space, I was faced with a stricter limitation to the realm of visual sensation. Thus, I developed an interest for accessibility to keep creating artefacts that engage multiple senses. As a designer, I find it interesting to understand how perception affects individual experiences with products and brands and how design practices can be used to improve these experiences.

Hi! I'm Bianca Brandner.

Throughout my career, I have specialised in brand design. I combine strategic methods with exploratory approaches in my design process to create memorable visual narratives that are in alignment with my clients' values. To create distinctive brand identities that stand out from the competitors’ – and are in keeping with the times – I continuously work on self-initiated research projects on the side and experiment with new techniques and styles.

Shaping Brands

01

In the past few years, I have been shifting towards the digital space to not only create visual brand strategies but also apply them consistently across all of a brand's digital touch points – from its website to each of its products – with the goal to develop a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing experience for all recipients and users.

One of my passions that follow me in client work as well as outside of that is accessibility and inclusive design. As a designer, I find it fascinating to understand how perception affects individual experiences with products and brands and how design practices can be used to enhance these experiences and make them more accessible.
